Layout/508 Compliance Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
•

• Prepare test materials such as manuals, reports, brochures, and other documents for online, offset printing, and digital publication using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Work with files others have produced or create layouts from original text and graphics from clients.
• Consult with users on project conceptualization design; perform related work.
• Obtain information from project managers regarding the client’s product and service needs.
• Assume responsibility for organization of work to complete a project.
• Decision–making is important to this position including:

o making decisions with available information,
o prioritizing work, and
o understanding the client’s needs when making decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
• 3+ years of experience with Section 508 compliance (PDF remediation).
• Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Acrobat expert with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft products
• Experience with CommonLook preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to clearly communicate with team members and project management staff in verbal and written form

• Use Microsoft Office Suite and necessary graphics programs proficiently
• Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groups
• Ability to perform consistently well during times of increased workload
• Set and meet deadlines

• Perform other duties as needed
