Position Description
Performs complex Academic Advising, educational, professional, or other advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate. Responsibilities may include analyzing special and/or complex problems. May coordinate and manage Academic Advising initiatives. May supervise Senior and other Academic Advisors. Performance is based on individual advising effectiveness and overall program results obtained. Work is performed under minimal supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Major/Essential Functions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, plus two years relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in education, psychology, or closely related field with experience in education or social work.

Major/Essential Functions
- Evaluate students' or individuals abilities, interests, and personality characteristics using tests, records, interviews, or professional sources.
- Counsel TSI students regarding education issues, such as course and program selection, class scheduling and registration, school adjustment, absences, study habits, career planning, and campus resources.
- Complete, update, and maintain TSI student contracts each semester.
- Advise students of progress through TSI program and utilize intrusive advising methods for students who do not show progress in their TSI coursework.
- Manage collaborations and communications with campus partners. Create, manage, and distribute program materials and resources.
