Agape Construction Company is seeking EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL LEAD FRAMING CARPENTERS with a minimum of 5 years of wood-framing experience.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Lead Framing Carpenter is a WORKING supervisor who coordinates and oversees all work in process for the demolition and framing portion of the project. He is to ensure that the project is on schedule, on budget, and done with the highest level of craftsmanship while maintaining a good relationship with the client.

Responsibilities:
Perform, coordinate and oversee rough carpentry work at the highest level, including but not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders and other carpentry related documents and do take-offs from them
• Layout walls
• Layout and installation of floor joists, stud framing and roof rafters
• Layout and installation of stairs; calculate rough stringers to code
• Install siding
• Calculate rafters and use squares to create and install stick built roof framing
• Build decks, porches and install exterior trim
• Perform demolition
• Perform lead testing and abatement
• Oversee and train carpenters
• Communicate with Homeowners
• Maintain daily diary and jobsite field book
• Schedule Inspections

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of residential wood framing experience, including remodels and additions
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric and mechanical codes
• In depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codes
• Own basic personal carpentry tools
• Be physically fit and able to perform demanding work on a consistent basis

Salary: $28-$34 per hour based on experience
