Supervisor: Manager, Development Systems

Hours: M F, 9am 5 pm and occasional weekends and evenings

Job Summary

The Lead Development Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of data in Raisers Edge, and acknowledgement of gifts and pledges in relation to the fundraising program. The Lead Development Associate is also responsible for the overall data and record keeping needs of events including gifts and sponsorships, seating and team assignments, auction and raffle donations and all data needs related to the gala, golf tournament and other events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize day-to-day gift processing activities and ensure accurate processing of gifts and pledges made by fund transfers, recurring gifts, gift matches and other third party donations, credit cards and checks
  • Generate and mail accurate and timely gift acknowledgement letters through Raisers Edge
  • Inform and advise the Development Systems Manager of needs, recommendations and concerns regarding the database or data needs of the program
  • Educate and train other team members on the data policies and procedures for data entry and gift processing
  • Flag important gifts, donor information, trends or other important information that could be acted upon by the manager or by front line fund raisers
  • Obtain and maintain proper backup for all gifts and pledges, including scanning and filing
  • Ensure that donor/prospect electronic and paper files are maintained in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Ensure that donor/prospect contact and biographical information updates are processed in Raisers Edge
  • Perform database maintenance and clean-up projects to maintain data integrity, as assigned
  • Provide comprehensive support and data needs for the Leave No One Behind Gala, Golf Tournament and other events.
  • Support Director of Sponsorship and Events by providing gift acknowledgement, auction tracking and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain staff, Veteran, and donor confidentiality
  • Manage safe that holds cash, un-deposited checks and credit card numbers
  • Produce daily revenue reports for reconciliation with Finance Department
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience / Education

  • Bachelors degree required (Business and/or Finance degree preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in an Advancement/Development department
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills (MS Windows)
  • Database and data entry experience (Raisers Edge preferred)
  • Familiarity with accounting practices preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
  • Must be a dedicated team player and comfortable working in an open, highly collaborative, diverse environment with the willingness and desire to learn and grow within the organization
