Inland Packaging is a local label and packaging manufacturer seeking a Full-Time Lead Electromechanical Technician to join our growing team. Job Summary :
While performing the job duties of their regular position in Maintenance, the Lead Electromechanical Technician will serve as the maintenance primary contact reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for directing employees and making decisions in the absence of Maintenance Manager to ensure that safety, quality and productivity goals are achieved during their assigned shift.

In addition to performing the job responsibilities of an Electromechanical Technician position, the following job responsibilities will be performed:
- Leads employees and resolves problems to ensure employee safety and quality and productivity goals and standards are achieved (i.e. breakdowns, P.m.’s, projects, scheduling downtime, etc.)
- Provides guidance and training to new and existing employees to maintain current knowledge relative to production and quality standards.
- Coordinates maintenance/material actions necessary to retain or restore equipment or components to a serviceable condition with a minimum expenditure of resources in the most efficient practical manner.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in assigning work orders and maintenance activities, monitoring job status and ensuring labor reporting is accurate.
- Performs process and follows schedules to reduce downtime on the equipment.
- Leads cost reduction projects, working with vendors/contractors and scheduling.
- Informs the Maintenance Manager of safety, quality and productivity concerns and employee performance issues/problems and recommends improvements.
- Liaison between employees, Maintenance Manager and Human Resources regarding any safety, quality, productivity and other employment concern.
- Works as a leader and a member of the Maintenance Team
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Essential skills and experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree
- 3 – 5 years of work experience within a manufacturing environment, Preferred
- Understanding of open and closed loop controls, drive systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic programming.
- Should have basic knowledge of PLC theory of operation and be able to use multimeter to troubleshoots
- Understanding of Windows Operating System.

Nonessential skills and experience:
- An associate degree as an Electromechanical Technician
Work Environment:
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments. Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, employees, managers, and executives.
Required Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 6am-2pm
Physical Requirements:
Must meet physical requirements identified in work screen protocol (Pod D); ability to work near EMI and electro-static devices; visual acuity corrected to 20/40; must pass Ishihara Color Assessment and receive a minimum of average/normal color vision score on the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hues and D-15.
