Lead Embedded Design Hardware Engineer

Our team in Space and Defense is looking for a Lead Embedded Design Engineer to join them. You will report to the
Electrical Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia
To be considered for Lead Embedded Design Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field
- To be proficient in C/C++ and VHDL/Verilog languages and validation tools
- Experience specifying and developing embedded products
- You will need to have experience with presenting/communicating to a group of people
- Experience as a team lead or other demonstrated leadership experience
As a Lead Embedded Design Engineer, you will:
Design Embedded Electronics for Slip Ring and Motion Control products and associated interface software. You will be responsible for design projects to include defining project scope, development and testing. Activities encompass design, analysis, testing and process development using engineering principles and methods. Technical integrated circuits; and embedded software/firmware design. You will be involved in specification review and participate in software/ firmware design.
