Irrigation Tech Manager is responsible for the following:

Oversee that the irrigation techs and teams are taking ownership of:

• Inspecting and loading equipment for the day’s work.
• Driving safely to the client’s location.
• Testing the soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs.
• Mapping out areas for irrigation installation.
• Digging trenches and installing pipes and lines.
• Installing pumps and electrical timers.
• Testing the irrigation system with the aid of computer software.
• Conducting routine maintenance checks.
• Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts and offering upgrades to existing systems.
• Completing progress reports and associated information with technology.

Irrigation Technician Requirements:

• 3 years or more in irrigation system industry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician.
• Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of plumbing is preferable.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects 100lbs.
• Knowledge of soil, vegetation and watering duration during the day or night.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

· Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

· Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

· Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

· Culture working with Visa workers from Central and South America

· Communicating productivity daily (flat rate management style)

· Owning your own tools to be able to perform all work required

· Valid drivers’ license and able to pass medical card requirements of commercial vehicles

· Willing to work snow removal hours during winter season when snowing.

While you are managing this elite team you are also willing to work alongside the irrigation techs to train and enforce procedures to maximize the departments profitability.

Our Requirements:

- 3 + years of experience in Commercial Irrigation

- College Education is a Plus but not required; (Bachelor’s Degree in Green Industry, etc.)

- Is willing to work hard and grow with our company

- Must be able to manage and work with business owners and property managers.

- With our rapid growth rate being able to adapt and re-adapt with changes that occur internally.

- Spanish literacy is a major plus
