Job Description


Discovery MD & multi-clinic practice is looking for a Lead Receptionist to join our fast-growing company. Discovery MD prides itself with its close culture, clinical excellence, while focusing on helping patients sustain their mental health wellness goals and bringing a new sense of hope to those that are suffering.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone.
  • Answering patient calls, and voicemails in a friendly prompt manner
  • Confirming patient follow up appointments, sending reminder virtual appointment information as needed
  • Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
  • Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
  • Notifying providers of patient arrivals
  • Updating patient records and following all protocols in regard to insurance verification
  • Collecting patient copays and scheduling follow up appointments
  • Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs
  • Train all new receptionist that are hired
  • Assist with interviews for receptionist
  • Coordinate the activities of front desk team
  • Assign duties and tasks to front desk team when needed
  • Maintain appropriate staffing coverage for all locations
  • Work closely with billing partner to resolve past due balances
  • Assist on assigned duties by practice manager

Compensation Range: $17-22/hr
Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Behavioral or psychiatric office experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly dependable
  • Team player that works well with others
