Job Description
Provide administrative and front-line customer service and support to ODU staff, students, and guests in the Learning Commons; as well as for Virginia Beach-based Norfolk State University faculty, staff, and students; provide referrals as needed to university resources; independently coordinate testing operations and administer university exams observant of FERPA laws and university policies.

Working knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Working knowledge of PC-related software and information systems to include Microsoft Office product (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, and to work effectively with numerous other offices/units. Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail.

Considerable experience providing customer service to diverse constituents.
Some problem-solving experience. Some experience working as part of a team.
Some experience independently managing projects.

Some experience working with students in a higher education setting.
Some experience in office management and supervision. Some experience with providing some basic computer support. Bachelor’s degree preferred
