As a Learning Experience Designer III, you will collaborate with subject matter experts and/or faculty members to create engaging and effective online learning experiences. The Kaplan learning portfolio you will help build includes pre-college through licensure test prep products as well as collegiate degree and non-certificate courses.
Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with partner faculty to guide course development
-
Ideate media elements to support learning
-
Collaborate with media designers to develop video, interactive learning object, and instructional graphics

Apply best practices in online teaching and learning
-
Manage the flow of course components through course completion
-
Develop internal schedules and monitor course development process through completion
-
Analyze learning analytics to determine how best to improve the product design

Help subject matter experts build capacity in the science of teaching and learning

Mentor LX Designers new to the business or new to the role

Offer unique expertise in a critical area of the business

Share LX expertise to the group in a learning community
Minimum Qualifications:
-
MS, Ed.M. or M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, or other higher education online learning related degree
-
2+ years of direct learning design experience
-
Knowledge of curriculum and instructional principles for online learning
-
Strong project management skills with the ability to document and communicate project plan
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with the design team, subject matter experts, IT developers, and production personnel

Ability to provide graphical art/media direction
-
Ability to work in teams and/or alone
