This role supports the team in its delivery of best in class legal and insurance services for the business, providing administrative services in a proactive and accurate manner and contributing to our vibrant team culture.

As our Team Administrator you will enable our business to accelerate Britain’s Net Zero future where clean energy powers our lives.

What you’ll be doing day to day

As our Team Administrator you will support a busy team of over 30 solicitors and insurance specialists across all EDFR UK&I offices (Edinburgh, Durham, London and Dublin). You will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

The Team Administrator must be adaptable and have a willingness to pick up tasks at short notice.

You should have excellent knowledge of MS office packages including Word and you will be required to create and amend legal agreements and produce comparisons of agreements. You will also work with Finance and Accounts Payable, raising and receipting purchase orders, so familiarity with SAP or other Accounts Payable software would be helpful.

A key part of this role will be to support the team in producing and presenting documents (including use of Powerpoint) as well as filing and archiving documents. You will also collate papers for board meetings, attend and prepare board Minutes.

You will closely support the PA to the Legal Affairs Director in the organisation of team quarterly meetings and broader office events arranging meetings, performing ad hoc duties and covering other activities of the PA to the legal Affairs Directors as required.

You will have fantastic relationship building skills as this role will work with multiple stakeholders within EDF Renewables, EDF internationally and external stakeholders including investors, service providers, and suppliers.

You will work closely with our IT team to assist with the implementation of the new legal team document management system. You will also support the onboarding of new starters to the team and arrange for the prompt delivery of IT kit and liaise with IT regarding the set-up of accounts etc.

What do you need to be great at this role?


You will thrive in this role if you possess very strong organisational skills, are able to prioritise and enjoy working in a team environment, and can demonstrate flexibility, excellent business focus and problem-solving skills.

You will be an experienced administrator providing high quality support – ideally from a legal practice or another business with a fast-paced culture.
It is essential that you can work under pressure and prioritise workload as well as having excellent attention to detail.

Coming from a Renewables background or experience within the energy sector will be really beneficial but is not essential.
