The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is looking for a Legal Administrator to join our team and be part of a sharp, dedicated, and proactive group that provides guidance in interpreting the laws and regulations that govern our industry. Our Legal team members always stay up to date on areas of the law that could impact our organization, and work daily to mitigate any potential or actual risks. You will provide support to various members of the Legal Team, including the Vice President Associate General Counsel and Vice President of Strategic Legal Operations. Overall, you'll play a key role within the Legal Team by staying involved in many areas including compliance operations, litigation, corporate initiatives, and others, allowing the team to provide the proper counsel for Company executives on business problems and solutions.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for various ad hoc requests coming to the Legal team including but not limited to, documentation needed for Annual Reports, State Exams, Litigation Reports, assistance with Disaster Response Protocol, etc., ensuring accuracy and deadlines are timely met.
- Strategize resolutions across all platforms of litigation, complaints, regulatory challenges, field issues, and other issues brought to the Legal Department for optimal resolution.
- Provide basic support via Outlook Calendar management, correspondence assistance, and general errands.
- Remains flexible with last-minute changes and requests.
- Handle significant litigation workload by participating in group strategy discussions, reviewing drafts, tracking, and ensuring deadlines are timely met, researching, and providing additional case management support as needed by the Legal Team.
- Develop presentations, reports, and other collateral at need.
- In all responsibilities, represent the Legal Department in a professional, courteous, and positive manner while utilizing strong interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with customers, business partners, and Team Members at all levels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 1-2 years of administrative experience
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick and confident decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to both be a team player and work independently
- Ability to professionally interact at all levels and maintain discretion and poise
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Outlook
- Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard
