Job description
Multi-state legal recoveries firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistants to join our fast paced Litigation and Post Judgment Teams.
Litigation Job Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail for the litigation legal team
- Prepare, review, and assemble all legal documents
- Assist with docket management
- Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and process servers
- Track and receive all media, affidavits, and pleadings
- Generate and track all judgment documents
- Enter all applicable information into firm's case management system
Post Judgment Job Responsibilities
- Review post-judgment files to determine what, if any, enforcement action is appropriate
- Generate enforcement documents in accordance with the forms, policies, and procedures provided by the Firm
- Submit enforcement documents to the court, marshal or sheriff for processing
- Supervise and track enforcement processes and documents
- Enter and post all enforcement data and documents into the firm’s case management system
- Communicate with enforcement officers, courts, banks, employers, attorneys and consumers about garnishment accounts.
Qualified candidates must be energetic, reliable, detail oriented, be able to prioritize in order to meet goals and possess good problem solving skills. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Database Management systems. Collections or law firm experience a plus. Interested candidates must submit a resume.
Salary dependent upon qualifications.
