POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an E-Billing Specialist, who will work with Billing Coordinators, Collection Specialists and attorneys and their practice assistants in preparing client billings in accordance with established firm and client policies and procedures. E-Billing Specialists must ensure all client billings are processed timely, and that the information contained within the bills conform to client and vendor guidelines. The position requires a thorough understanding of the client’s billing requirements, history and policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize Aderant, a billing and collections software program, and Billblast to oversee and maintain timely billing and accuracy of electronically billed invoices
  • Utilize Aderant, to process monthly billing packages, which include edits and preparation of invoices.
  • Respond to eBilling inquiries and provide reports for clients and attorneys.
  • Research and generate statements and reports utilizing Aderant, Billblast, and/or Excel.
  • Assist practice assistants with information regarding eBilled accounts and the guidelines for attorneys entering time.
  • Learn intricacies of the e-billing platform to enable streamlining of integration processes and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain proper guidelines for e-billing vendors on the BillBlast site.
  • Maintain billing files in an orderly manner in file-site folders, which detail client and billing requirements.
  • Provide general support to other areas as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a professional services environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience in Aderant and BillBlast preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment, as well as work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to respond to requests and prepare financial analyses.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys and staff and provide information with courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to multi-task work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with all levels of firm personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
