The Vande Bogart Library at Montana State University-Northern (MSUN) is currently seeking a
Library Technician
III to begin immediately. The successful candidate will provide assistance to library patrons in more than one area of the library, assist with policy development, desktop delivery, and distance education; and answer policy or procedure-related questions. Is cross-trained and assigned work in at least two major areas of the library. May supervise employees. Performs duties of Library Tech II over multiple functional areas or more complex functional areas.
MSU-Northern is located in Havre, Montana. Havre, the Hill County seat, provides access to Montana’s prairies, mountains, lakes, and rivers. Havre and Hill county offer a community theatre, golf courses, opportunities for civic engagement, restaurants, rodeos, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Print Shop
- Provide prints for campus community
- Order paper
- Maintain POS with Warden and Office Equipment
- Make sure printers are working
- Run printers, guillotine, paper folder, binding, laminating, etc…
- Submit recharges monthly
- Maintain inventory
- Submit inventory yearly to business office
- Consult with customers on paper choices, etc.. (check printing@msun.edu email at least 3x/day)

- Northern Brew orders
- Process new books
- Repair books
- Shelving
Coffee Cart
- Cash handling
- Training student workers
- Purchasing product
- Stocking
- Making product
- Keeping inventory

Perform other duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Bachelor’s plus 12 credits in Library Science
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated Cashiering experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with office equipment, especially printers and copiers
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions
- Demonstrated understanding of advanced library principles, patron use, and best practices
Ability with or without reasonable accommodation to lift up to 30 pounds, to use print shop machines such as copiers, printers, binders, to shelve books, to process new books and repair books, and to serve patrons at the Coffee Cart, Library, and Print Shop.

Title IX Coordinator
The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the University’s compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, including Title IX.
