We work with people at home, at work, and in the community, through residential, employment, crisis response, behavioral, recovery, children’s services and day services. Our Alabama Crisis program is recruiting for a Licensed Human Services Professional.
Potential Locations: Wiregrass, Mobile, Andalusia, Dothan, Elba, Luverne, Montgomery

• *RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of the Crisis Support Team under Benchmark’s Provider Focus project, serve as a clinical lead on crisis Level 1 interventions. The Crisis Support Team will assist providers in serving persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in crisis and at high risk of inpatient placement, involvement with law enforcement, potential harm to themselves or others, recidivism, or loss of residential/home placement due to severe behavioral, psychiatric or trauma related issues. Coordinate with providers, law enforcement, hospitals, government agencies, families/advocates, and behavioral health partners. Provide technical assistance to provider members and case management wrap around services to individuals in crisis. Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services, supports, care and treatment to individuals as required, respond immediately when dispatched on crisis responses, and be present to provide consultation to provider agency staff. Must be experienced and competent in profession, possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and maintain any applicable license, training, and/ or certifications.

• *QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Current Licensure as LMSW, LCSW, RN or LPC
• Meet criteria to maintain license
• CPR/Basic First aid and CPI with on-going recertification
• Experience providing case management services to individuals with IDD and/or Behavioral Heath diagnoses
• Must be computer literate

Preferred:

• Have experience working with individuals who have IDD and behavioral health diagnoses and are experiencing a crisis situation
• Working knowledge of the Alabama DMH service system
