Rutherford Family Acupuncture is a multi-practitioner alternative medicine practice offering acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and massage practice in downtown Rutherfordton, NC. We serve Rutherford County, Polk County, and the greater Foothills region with natural, effective, alternative medicine using acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, dietary modification, Western bodywork, Chinese bodywork, and more. We have an established and loyal client base, and are continuing to grow to meet the needs of the region.

Rutherford Family Acupuncture is seeking a massage therapist to join our team! This is a massage position unlike any other. If you are looking to grow your skill set, build your client base, and learn a whole new and interesting way of looking at the body, then you belong HERE!

WHO YOU ARE:

An NC licensed massage therapist who is serious about offering high-quality patient experiences and developing deep, meaningful relationships with your clients. Whether you’re FRESH OUT OF SCHOOL or have plenty of experience, this job is all about creating TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCES, both for your patients and for YOU as a clinician.

YOU ARE: Excited about your career as a massage therapist. Ready to grow and change as a person as a result of your work. You want to come to work every day with the expectation that you’ll learn something new about your patients, yourself, and about being human.

YOU ARE: Interested in holistic medicine, and want to know so much more than a simple anatomical view of the body. Interested in therapeutic massage, not just relaxation massage, but you understand that there’s still a time and a place for long, flowing strokes. You want to make a big difference in people’s lives, and you want to know how massage can have a profound effect on the body beyond just the musculoskeletal system. You want to know how you can impact and work with different conditions and illnesses, including gynecology, gastrointestinal issues, asthma, heart disease, insomnia, and more.

You have an interest in learning about acupressure, qigong, tui na (Chinese massage), gua sha, cupping, essential oils and aromatherapy as part of your job, at no extra cost to you. You have an interest in learning the deeper meaning behind people’s pain. You believe everything in life is connected, and you want to be able to see that in your massage practice.

· A practice that is continually interested in being an active participant in the community, marketing and creating connections within the community, and expanding and transforming itself to best meet the needs of both the community it serves and the practitioners that make it tick

WHAT WE DON’T OFFER:

· Table linens are included, but laundry is not. You have to do your own massage laundry off-site.

· We don’t offer a place for people who are afraid of hard work. We want to accomplish great things, and you do too, and we both know that the best things in life take some work, especially in the beginning.
