BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: The Unified Government Public Health Department is seeking a full time LPN to provide services in the Tuberculosis program, performing clinical duties. These duties include conducting home visits, patient case management, administration of medicine, simple laboratory procedures, coordination of care with ordering physicians, and other duties as assigned. Practice effectively in a busy setting with a diverse client population.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an approved LPN Nursing Program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Must be licensed as an LPN in Kansas. Preferred qualifications: One year of direct patient care, nursing experience in public health, infection control, infectious diseases, case management or another related field. Comfortable practice effectively in a busy setting with a diverse client population, 40-hour work week Monday through Friday, may include occasional evening hours.

Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid KS driver’s license. A background check and drug screen will be conducted on the selected candidate. Must reside in Wyandotte County or relocate to the county within 12 months of hire. Benefits package.

Pay: $22.14 - $28.96 per hour
