Job description
Total Veterinary Care in Cicero, NY (outside of Syracuse) is looking for a LICENSED veterinary technician to join our team in a fast-paced, busy practice. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
Hospital Hours: Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Hiring Range: $20- $22/hr.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Registered/Licensed in the state of New York (Proof of RVT/LVT will be required. Experienced candidates who are eligible to take the exam within 6 months of hire will also be considered.)
- Highly skilled at tasks such as drawing blood, placing IV catheters, assisting with anesthesia and surgeries, microchipping, dental work, radiology, lab work, nail trims, maintaining medical records, etc.
- Willing and able to keep up with the best practices and newest technologies
- An effective and respectful leader, mentor and team member
- Skilled at preparing medications and explaining their use to clients
- Available on rotating Saturdays
