Urology Associates of the Central Coast is a large urology group practice in the beautiful Central Coast of California looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to become a part of our team. Urology Associates of the Central Coast is a well-established, well-respected successful private practice with a history of over 40 years in our community, encompassing San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. We have a very busy medical practice that strives for quality customer service while maintaining a patient-centered, individualized approach to meet the individual needs of our patients.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a LVN in our San Luis Obispo clinical office. The LVN is responsible for assisting the physician, mid-level providers and patients to ensure to perform efficient services. The clinical office is considered the “home base” office.

Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver good customer service skills in a fast-paced environment. An attention to detail and the ability to navigate in multiple computer programs. Must be able to use various electronic office equipment (i.e. photocopy machine, scanner, computer)

Carry out instructions given by the physicians, mid-level providers, administration and Operations Manager/HR

Communicate frequency with clinical office staff for all Urology Associates locations

Section II- Duties and Responsibilities

LVN Position:

-Assist with patient exams: takes vital signs, has correct labs and imaging information in charts.

-Completes assigned providers chart prep following meaningful use guidelines. (Locating necessary lab or imaging results prior to patient’s appointment.)

-Sets up room for procedures & surgical procedures, (i.e. laying out instruments, prepping patients, and assisting providers Assist with prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, vasectomies, and all other in office surgical procedures.

-Administers I.M./subdermal/subcue injection of medications.

-Sets up and preforms bladder ultrasounds for providers

-Obtains specimens and sets up urine for micro exam (dip and spin)

-Understands the use of medications pertaining to urology and prostate cancer.

-Teaches patients on clean intermittent catheterization.

Physical Requirements:

Requires manual dexterity, good vision and hearing along with good verbal communication skills (must speak clearly) Must be able to multi-task in this fast-paced environment. Must be able to stand and walk around for prolonged periods of time and on occasion lift and carry 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
