- Lifeguard certification
- Background check/fingerprints upon hire
- Must be at least 15 years of age and have earned (or working toward) a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Monitor the swimming area.
- Instruct participants in swimming and provide safety precaution information.
- Maintain quality of pool water by testing chemical levels.
- Warn participants of unsafe conduct.
- General working hours: Monday - Friday 12:00 to 9:00 p.m., with 1 hour break (some flexibility with schedule); occasionally needed for a.m. Lap Swim, 6:30 - 8:30 a.m.
