The Line Server is Responsible for the preparation of and service of nutritious meals under the direction of the Dietary Manager.

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Line Server. Mary, Queen of Angels is an assisted living facility with about 100 residents. It is our responsibility to feed them breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. This shift is from 11a-7p (8 hour shift). The main functions in this role are:

· Assist residents with food selection, assist with loading of trays, carry trays to table or wait on residents at the table.

· Use acceptable standards in proper etiquette in dining room service.

· Use proper sanitation and follow guidelines as established.

· Fill out required charts and forms pertaining to the daily kitchen routine and sanitation procedures.

· Have complete knowledge of Food Service sanitation, following all policies and procedures on the job.

· Able to work with other team members and cooperate in completion of duties.

· Prepares and serves meals as directed.

· Notes menu changes, lists substitutes, and makes menu suggestions if Dietary Supervisor is absent.

· Supervises the proper storage and labeling of usable leftovers.

· Maintains cleanliness of both the kitchen and dining room areas.

· May assist with orientation/training of new staff.

Operates kitchen equipment safety and according the manufacturer directions.

Some of the physical requirements for this position include:

Able to be on feet standing or walking 8-12 hours per day.

Able to stand in one position for 3-4 hours at a time.

Able to lift 30-50 lbs. on occasional basis.

Able to bend, stoop, squat, twist numerous times daily.

Able to speak in a clear, concise voice in order to communicate with residents who may be hearing impaired.

Able to carry out fine motor skills and manual dexterity.

Able to see and hear adequately in order to respond to auditory and visual request from residents.

Salary: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
