Sensient Technologies CorporationJob Summary:
This position is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the Chili Sterilizer and Mill equipment in the Chili department. The Steam Sterilization Lead ensures the line performs to expected production throughput while maintaining product quality and safety that meets customer and company standards. In addition to operating the line this position is the technical expert on line operations and will be responsible for normal preventative maintenance on the equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that all products are produced safe and legal through positive environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
Follows all Sensient policies and procedures.
Maintains the facility at all times as set by the 5S program.
Assigns duties to the General Labor associated to scheduled line.
Checks the label against the order to ensure that the correct information is on the label.
Verifies that the proper seal type is used by checking production copy of the order.
Verifies the quantities and product by comparing the Material Planning picklist/formula with the Order and the Production Schedule.
Verifies that the batches pulled to fill the order match the batches listed on the Material Planning picklist/formula. Notifies the Shift Supervisor of any discrepancies.
Collects all tags and turns in necessary paperwork to the Repack Clerk upon completion of the order.
Performs all Metal Detector Tests as per Sensient HACCP program.
Inspects, cleans and logs magnet checks as stated in procedures.
Ensures quick and efficient startup of assigned production line to minimize downtime.
Efficiently runs the assigned production line to minimize waste and increase productivity.
Makes recommendations to Leadsperson on the speed of the line and performance.
Maintains work area in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
Safely follows company Lockout/Tag out policy when performing product changes, sanitation and clearing jams.
Performs any other tasks required or assigned by the supervisor or member of management.
Screw checks, tool accurate, food safety and organic paper.
Education & Experience:
High school graduate preferred.
Knowledge of Order Processing, HACCP, GMP Practices, Plant Safety, Chili Production and Repack Production.

Working Environment/Physical Demands:
E xtreme temperatures ranging from 35 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noises, airborne food particles (dust) and forklift fumes, it is need to lift 50 – 100 lbs. on a frequent basis and safely roll drums up to 315 lbs.
The salary range for this position is $20.81 USD. Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, and labor markets.
