Melgar Trucking Service is looking for a responsible, bilingual and compromised individual to manage and cover different areas of logistic responsibility such as:

• Strong knowledge in operation process for Cross Border transportation.
• Successfully bid for shipments when necessary
• Analyze job board and schedule shipments to drivers
• Supervise performance and tasks of dispatcher
• Maximize equipment capacity
• Maximize the efficiency of the drivers
• Ensure smooth workflow between customers, dispatch, and drivers
• Ensure company’s operating goals are accomplished
• Meet company’s revenue goals.
• Responsible the company’s operations are DOT compliant
• Assist in managing Customer Service

As a critical member of the company Management Team, the Administrator will regularly interact with and support other members of the Team in a professional manner.

Requirements:

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have knowledge of company standard software and ability to enter, retrieve and manipulate data.
• Understanding of Samsara and monitoring and report retrieval.
• Understanding Fleetio and maintenance and repair records
• Strong understanding of internet and ability to search items.
• Must understand DOT service and safety requirements.

Planning:

• Coordinate with dispatcher daily work tasks.
• Schedule and assign shipments to drivers to fill the anticipated work demand and meet company revenue goals
• Successfully bid for work when necessary.
• Supervise work performance and tasks of dispatcher
• Supervise activities of local drivers
• Communicate with shop manager to plan and coordinate scheduled equipment.
• Load searching.
• Communicate with dispatcher for specific shipment needs
• Search for full truck loads (FTL), Less than a truck loads (LTL) and/or “triangle” loads when needed
• Ensure Driver has all paperwork and load information necessary to complete their delivery or pick up, satisfying both customer and company expectations.
• Monitor routes that maximize the efficiency of the driver and his truck and trailer.
• Updates / check calls:
• Communicate with and manage drivers via phone, text and email about loads, trip planning, hours of service, and all other aspects involving drivers, loads and customers (Axele)
• Maintain accurate computer dispatch and scheduling records to ensure smooth and accurate communication flow
• Track loads in a timely fashion by communicating with drivers, and customer representatives regarding pickup, deliveries, and status updates.
• Maintain records of on-time departures. Axele / Samsara
• Maintain records of on-time deliveries and late deliveries. Axele / Samsara

Operations Fuel cards: assign driver fuel cards when needed Logbooks: assist drivers with ELD issues when needed

• Pre pass: maintain account updated and organized (per truck)
• Road calls: assist drivers with over the road mechanical assistance when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• El Paso, TX 79927: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Border crossing logistics: 1 year (Preferred)
• Dispatching: 3 years (Preferred)
