This position will work with active duty and veterans from all branches of our military to provide expert counsel on a wide range of student loan servicing topics including, but not limited to, program rules and regulations, optimal repayment options, and available benefit programs. The incumbent is responsible for professionally handling incoming customer phone calls from those customers who have highly specialized and complex issues or concerns that require special handling in order to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and deflect repeat phone calls. The incumbent must have excellent analytical abilities and be able to efficiently and accurately determine the root cause of the issue at hand, be responsible for identifying remediation required and work with identified parties (internal and external) to ensure that inquires and concerns are resolved promptly and courteously. Compliance with established policies and procedures is critical.

- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues.
- Prepare account reconciliations and various analyses supporting month end/quarter end financials, and help to ensure the integrity of accounting/financial data.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent with Associates degree and/or 2-4 years of experience.
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in the Maximus Customer Care Center or other equivalent experience. Must be meeting and/or exceeding department standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to adapt communication to match personality of the customer
- Must have demonstrated attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Must have highly developed commitment to customer satisfaction
- Must have excellent PC skills and the ability to operate multiple mainframe applications in a business environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be demonstrated team player
- Ability to handle high volume of calls in a stressful, fast paced environment
- Ability to be flexible with schedule to include evenings and overtime as needed
- Must have in-depth knowledge of all Maximus products and services
