ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Lobby & Grounds Attendant to join the team! Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and Management, you will consistently deliver a comfortable and inviting guest experience through thorough maintenance of public space with attention to detail and guest satisfaction. You will be greeting guests at the entrance, directing them to the right areas, and keeping the lobby and other public hotel spaces presentable. The lobby attendant is also responsible for maintaining a clean pool and outside area, and assisting in any duties assigned by management.


This is a seasonal position until October. Part-time and Full-time available.

Essential Duties:

  • Greet guests as they enter the hotel area, providing any assistance as needed and displaying great customer service.
  • Assisting the housekeeping department with stocking, cleaning rooms, and laundry when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor the lobby area to ensure that is secure and free from safety hazards.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of extra equipment as needed in the lobby, pool, and meeting areas.
  • Ensure a clean pool area and restock outside supplies when necessary.
  • Ability to use cleaning solutions as may be necessary, to push a vacuum, mop, or broom and wipe down surfaces when needed.
  • The ability to see, stand, walk, sit, push a cart, bend, kneel, reach – including overhead and from bending or down low, to carry, and to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions.


Specific Requirements of this role:

  • Clean public areas within the allotted time according to hotel standards, including dusting furniture, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, pool maintenance, and mopping.
  • Maintain the appearance of all hallways, elevators, staircases, and other public spaces to ensure they are free from dust and/or scuffs.
  • Report any maintenance issues to management.
  • Ensure that housekeepers receive all requested items to complete the cleaning of their assigned rooms by restocking and reorganizing their carts.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including dress code and timekeeping policies.
  • Assist with responsibilities in the absence of employees or heavy volume in the areas of Lobby Attendant, Houseperson, and Housekeeper.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Able to always maintain a friendly and interpersonal demeanor, providing excellent customer service to guests.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs without any assistance, and perform light physical labor.
  • Proven work experience, hotel experience is a plus.
  • Dependability and flexible scheduling arrangements to meet the ever-changing demands of the hotel, occupancy rates, seasonal guest bookings, and special events.
