Our lobster cooks have one of the most important roles in the kitchen, providing and ensuring quality of every lobster that makes its way out of the kitchen! Lobster Place is the most visited location in the renowned Chelsea Market, and our unique operation will build your skills in full service, quick service, and retail formats. Starting wage: $19.00 per hour

An original tenant of Chelsea Market, Lobster Place has built a world-wide reputation for delivering exquisite-quality seafood and dining experiences that has made it the most popular destination in the Market.

Responsibilities:

• Daily preparation of mise en place for your station
• Excellence in food presentation
• Support Chefs with all menu prep and execution
• Coordinates pick-ups and plating with kitchen & FOH staff
• Exhibit great Communication with chefs and other cooks
• Promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, clutter free and organized workstation at all times

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of prior professional prep/line cook experience required
• Has knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
• Desire & Flexibility to work within all stations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, serving up to 500 covers per day
• Dependable, team-oriented, with a can-do attitude
• Availability to work weekends & evenings
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Take complete ownership of their workstation and keep it sanitized and ready for business
