What Logistics contributes to Cardinal Health

The Cardinal Health Logistics team delivers products and services that create a differentiated experience for customers while relentlessly improving speed, reliability, and cost through supply chain optimization. We enable growth through the effective and efficient movement of over 45 million shipments for Cardinal Health customers. That includes the flow of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.

Logistics plans, controls and implements processes for the storage and movement of finished goods and materials to drive operational efficiency in the organization's supply chain. This job family develops strategies for the use of internal Transportation capabilities versus third party logistics services. Logistics tracks all movement of product throughout each step in the supply chain, proactively identifies logistical risks, and addresses logistical issues to ensure on-time fulfillment of customer commitments.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify opportunities to improve logistics product capabilities and service optimization within the Cardinal Health Logistics network
• Support the parcel team in bids and network design analysis
• Utilize data analysis to identify and coordinate network optimization opportunities to increase efficiency, improve service levels and/or reduce cost
• Develop original, creative, and forward-thinking logistics products and services to improve existing business processes within supply chain utilizing methods such as statistical analysis, regression modeling and optimization
• Create processes, procedures, and routines within the organization to operationalize new capabilities
• Build relationships across Logistics, Analytics, Sales, and Distribution teams to inform decisions and maintain feedback channels

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Data Modeling preferred
• Parcel experience strongly preferred
• Experience with network optimization and analytics tools (Llamasoft, Supply Chain Guru, Alteryx, Appian Direct Route)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Expert quantitative analysis skills

Anticipated salary range: $82,200 - $123,270
