Role : Senior Consultant – UI/UX & Web Architecture

Client : State Of Idaho

Location : Boise, ID (onsite)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Work within an agile development team comprised of agency personnel and contractors.
• Participate in a scrum-based product delivery model.
• Promptly report impediments and blocking challenges to the product delivery team.
• Provide thought leadership to product architecture and design aligning with current and future agency business needs.
• Design architectures to include the software, hardware, and information to support the total requirements, as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
• Engineer software for delivery of a web-based application supported by multiple data sources and integration with an enterprise geospatial system.
• Design and develop an intuitive, public-facing UI/UX based on current trends and industry best practices.
• Create new and/or leverage existing APIs to develop modular and scalable solutions to meet agency needs.
• Contribute to test objectives, plans and defect reporting methodologies of the product development team.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews ensuring compliance with expectations and metrics.
• Lead product reviews and demos.
• Create training materials and/or conduct training sessions with agency personnel and customers.

Requirements & Expectations

• Candidates for onsite (preferred) and remote work will be considered.
• Normal work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 5:00 to align with typical product delivery team activities (Mountain Time Zone).
• Work on weekends and outside normal business hours will be required to facilitate product deployments.

Professional experience in technical leadership role. 7 years

UI/UX Architecture, Design, & Development Experience. 7 years

API Architecture, Design, & Development Experience. 7 years

Experience with data architecture as it integrates into web architecture. 7 years

Development/architecture experience working with MySQL database mgmt. system. 5 years

Drupal development experience. 5 years

Apache Web Server. 5 years

Front-end development experience with HTML, Javascript, CSS. 7 years

Development experience with CSS Preprocessors. 7 years

Development experience with JSON for data interchange. 7 Years

Experience with GeoJSON

Experience integrating any mapping data into web development/architecture. 5 Years

Experience with EsriArcGIS Enterprise APIs. 5 Years

Experience with Python

Experience with YAML

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
