Do you love working with kids?

We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work with our medically complex pediatric patients in their homes.

Essential Functions:

• Assist patients on a 1:1 basis, providing all direct patient care ordered, including but not limited to:

➢ Assessing patients with seizure disorders, responding with appropriate nursing intervention as ordered
➢ Maintaining feeding tubes and provide enteral care, nutrition, and hydration as ordered
➢ Providing tracheostomy and mechanical ventilator care as ordered
➢ Providing infusion therapies, including TPN, and CVL care as ordered
➢ Medication administration

• Assess for changes in your patient’s status and respond with the appropriate nursing interventions to ensure the patient’s safety, well-being, and comfort.
• Work collaboratively with the patient’s family, respecting family preferences and communicating at a high level with both the family and the Marathon office
• Exhibit professionalism, representing Marathon Nursing by always focusing on the needs of the patient, and working collaboratively with the patient, their family, the Agency, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide care that is culturally competent, non-discriminatory, and always considerate of the patient’s comfortability, needs, and preferences.

Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Massachusetts
• Proof of valid and current CPR/BLS certification
• Six months experience in Home Care/Private Duty Nursing is preferred, but new learners are welcomed to apply (New Grad nurses may qualify for our New Grad Nursing Program)
• Experience in Outpatient or Inpatient Pediatric Nursing is preferred but not required
• Medical Surgical Care and Critical Care experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate the building of long-lasting and meaningful relationships with our patients and their families
• Dynamic problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively and in team environments.

Pay 33.00 an hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Standard shift:

• Day shift
• Overnight shift

Weekly schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
