$2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS FOR FULL-TIME FLOOR NURSES. LaPaloma Healthcare has a few more Full-Time Nursing positions left to have all our own nurses. We are looking for the right nurses to join our team.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse/LVN is a professional member of the healthcare team at LaPaloma Healthcare Center in Oceanside, CA. They are expected to provide skilled nursing care and prescribed medical treatment to patients. The LVN works under the direction of the DON and/or Physician.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts individual patient assessment and interview and prioritizes the data collected to decide medical problem/condition and documents in a chart for the physician.
- Obtains and records the patient’s vital signs and weight.
- Performs specific treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Reviews physician’s orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patients.
- Performs proper treatments as ordered.
- Documents services performed and patient assessment findings.
- Observe patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge.
- Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Sterilizes or cleans equipment and supplies.
- Helps with administrative tasks such as answering patients’ calls, texts, e-mails, and scheduling appointments while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Responds to patient inquiries by evaluating and responding to the patient’s problems and questions.

Education and/or Experience
Graduate of an accredited LVN program and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current licensure in good standing in the State of California.
Job Types: Full-time, Per diem
Pay: $33.00 - $44.00 per hour
