As a quick learner, you’ll be flexible to work in different areas of the production plant, take responsibility for the work you do and always show good attention to detail.

There is some specific experience/skills/knowledge we are looking for from suitable candidates;

• Proven machine operating experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Sound understanding of safety procedures and practises, including chemical awareness or COSHH
• Current Fork Lift Truck licence or recent experience
• Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of your responsibilities within your team

The shift patterns will be rotated on a weekly basis, and are as follows:

First shift: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm

Second shift: Monday to Thursday 1:45pm to 9:45pm, Friday 1:45pm to 7:45pm

What will I be doing in the role?

Our Machine Operatives are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time, with a particular emphasis on quality and communication skills.

To support our customers effectively you will;

• Safely and correctly operate production machinery and equipment
• Accurately identify materials and processes required for various production runs
• Ensure quality checks are completed to the right standard, reporting any errors or disruption to the production program are reported immediately
• Maintain good communication skills, with both customers and your team
• Carry out quality control inspections, carrying out testing, data inputting, and helping create Operating Procedures
• Maintain accurate paperwork and reports relating to your allocated area of production
• Ensure you maintain focus on the safety, for yourself and for others around you in a busy production environment
