Clean Room Machine Operator – 1st Shift

We have an immediate opening for a Machine Operator at our 621 Brentwood Drive Facility. Hours are 6:30 am – 3 pm, Monday thru Friday.

Responsible for operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner to produce a part that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Read and understand work order/BOM or follow oral instructions to operate machinery and produce a part that meets all specifications.

· Assist set-up persons with feeding materials into inline forming machines when necessary.

· Remove scrap materials from machine and dispose of per procedures.

· Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.

· Inspect quality of finished product and report any quality issues to Setup Person, Shift Supervisor or Quality department.

· Monitor and measure specific characteristics of product using measuring equipment where applicable.

· Count, label and pack finished product into totes, carton, skids etc. and transport them to the final packaging area.

· Work in different work centers as production needs require.

· Input accurate daily production information in computer shop floor data collection system.

· Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.

· Comply with established Personnel Clean Room Practices procedures.

· Follow Good Documentation Practices rules in alignment with QMS / EMS requirements.

· Communicate effectively with other shifts regarding machine, quality and priority concerns. Effectively utilize shift overlaps to convey critical information.

· Maintain department housekeeping and 5S program requirements.

· Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.

· Perform job responsibilities and tasks in compliance to Company policies, procedures and safety and environmental regulations.

Essential Skills:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
