Job description
Duties and Responsibilities of Machine Operator :
- Run production batches of resin and hardener. Operator must properly load the mixer to achieve a consistent, high quality blend, add the correct/proper ingredients as required and control production batches by lot number. Completed mixing pots to be capped, marked and transferred to the next operation step.
- Run production batches to fill cartridges with resin and hardener. Operator must properly load the bulk resin and hardener into the filling machine and make the necessary adjustments for a consistent, uniform production and control production batches by lot control number.
- Operator must keep the machines clean and run produced cartridges thru the label machine and dispatch them into cartons.
- Check/fill lubricant reservoirs weekly
- Maintain a log of production lots for daily production
- Perform quality control inspections as required.
- Submit daily production labor card
- Keep area clean, machine wiped down and trash taken to dumpster
- Take physical inventory annually
- Report raw material shortages and machine maintenance issues to operations management immediately.
- Additional duties/tasks as needed/requested by management
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must successfully past pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read process plans for required components and quantities.
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift.
- Comply with all safety regulations; maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Understands and complies with all written safety, health and environmental procedures.
- Lifting requirements of 30 lbs.
