The Opportunity
Florence Corporation, the nations leading manufacturer in quality mailboxes, storage solutions and service is now hiring a Machine Operator II for 2nd shift. Manufacturing or production experience is helpful however we provide on-the-job training in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
We offer $18.25 per hour starting pay, generous benefits, employee appreciation swag and events, quarterly bonus incentives and opportunities for advancement.
2nd shift hours
- Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am
- Typically Fridays are voluntary, however some are mandatory (advance notice is given)

Machine Operator Team Member Pay and Benefits:
- $18.25 per hour starting pay, based on shift and experience
- Overtime pay available (time and a half)
- Health, vision and dental insurance begin the 1st of the month following start date

- Paid Holidays, 10 days per year
- Paid Vacation, 2 weeks per year

- Performance-based advancement into a Lead, Supervisor or Manager role
What you'll do
Following on-the-job training, Machine Operators will operate the EMK Amada Turret Punch Press Machine or Granco Saws to make inserts for mailbox units.
- Participate in problem solving as directed and recommend ideas for continual improvement.
- Attend and constructively participate in safety meetings and safety training
- Stand, move and lift items for up to 10 hours in a given shift
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines and wear proper PPE
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with other work groups, both within and outside of his/her department
- Keep area clean and free from clutter to ensure a smooth operation and desirable work conditions
- Understand and demonstrate performance in managing component parts associated with the job including accounting for use, scrap, rework of material as well as identification, proper storage and care
