YOU
You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As a Machinery Installer you will be responsible for installing our suite of wood-cutting machines and liaising with our production team and customers to facilitate a seamless installation process consistent with our safety and quality standards. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Install technical machinery products and ensure they operate according to specifications using hand, power, and technical tools. Setup and troubleshoot electronics, automation logic, machine networks, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. (65%)
Travel to and from installation sites. (20%)
Engage with customers regarding coordination, installation requirements, and progress. (10%)
Prepare tools and equipment, plan for travel, coordinate with production team members regarding installation schedule, and manage administrative aspects of travel expenses (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
- 2 years of related experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools including cutting, drilling, grinding, bolting, and fastening tools.
- Experience wiring electronics and troubleshooting mechanical, automated, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to build and maintain productive customer relationships.
- Ability to use personal computers to connect to networks, read and respond to emails, attend meetings, manage files, and more.
- Ability to maintain a positive outlook, follow instructions, continually learn, and adapt to change.
- Ability to set clear, meaningful, challenging, and attainable goals and take initiative.
- Ability to work, collaborate, and function in a team to accomplish overall tasks.
- Ability to use a forklift to handle packages and other materials that require it.
- Ability to lift, place, and install machinery parts up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Availability and flexibility to work extra hours (overtime) when necessary.
- Maintenance of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
Travel
This position requires domestic and international travel.
Work Status & Location
This full-time, Non-exempt position is based in the Eastern portion of United States with travel throughout North America. Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
Relocation
Relocation is not available for this position.
Pay
$26.35 - $34.23 / hour
