Rise Building Products of Mankato is looking for a team member to join our fast-paced work environment as a Maintenance Manager.
RISE Building Products has been developing technically advanced, affordable, synthetic fiber building products since 2005. At RISE Building Products, we work to preserve the environment. We recycle and repurpose post-consumer and post-industrial synthetic fibers, that would otherwise be sent to landfills, into synthetic cladding products: RISE Siding and RISE Trim. The advanced technology of synthetic fiber-based RISE Building Products makes our siding and trim wood replacement products look and feel just like real wood. Our product is manufactured in Mankato, MN, USA.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, The Maintenance Manager is a key member of the RISE Building Products management team. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems focused on improving availability, reliability, and processes for maintenance equipment and electrical systems. This position directly supervises all Maintenance staff onsite.
Schedule: The hours are typically Monday – Friday, day shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all maintenance staff to ensure the team is providing support in all areas as needed
- Generate and guide work orders to maintenance personnel for equipment/machinery repairs
- Manage capital projects related to maintenance as needed, including the development of maintenance programs for new technology and new equipment
- Oversee and improve daily work of Maintenance department, including breakdown tracking, defect elimination, root cause failure analysis, and other improvement projects
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures · Develop and implement spare parts inventory plan, including defining and purchasing parts
- Oversee the development and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for maintenance activities
- Execute strategies for improving maintenance performance, including training, PM development, maintenance, and implementation of electronic maintenance management system
- Manage relationships with existing and new vendors supporting site maintenance initiatives
- Maintain reporting procedures and develop reports as required · Continually review the most appropriate maintenance planning methods, techniques, equipment, and plans.
- Assist the Plant Manufacturing Manager in the development of the plant budget, forecasting personnel needs, equipment/machinery repairs or purchases, and facility improvements/additions
- Promote a workplace safety culture and maintains a superior safety program, including conducting regularly scheduled safety training, safety committee support, and implementing improvements to provide a safe working environment
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as necessary
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years in a lead or supervisory role
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, problem solving, quality management systems, continuous improvement, and project management.
