Maintenance Repair Worker 1

The Lorain County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Repair Worker 1. This is a full-time position within the Facilities Management Department.

Position Summary:

• Under supervision, performs unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance duties;
• Assists skilled workers or higher-level Maintenance Repair Workers in different repairs in order to assist with the maintenance of county-owned property;
• Compensation is $14.36 - $18.32/hour (plus benefits), based on qualifications and prior experience.

Qualifications:

• Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below. An example of an acceptable qualification of this position is: completion of elementary education, plus 3 months training or experience in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry or masonry repair, 3 months training or experience in operation of hand and power tools, or equivalent.
• Must possess a current valid Ohio vehicle operator’s license and maintain continuing eligibility for coverage under the existing vehicle insurance policy held by the County.
