Job description
As part of the maintenance team provide maintenance support to the business including repairs to machinery, plant, building and other areas with directions from the Plant Engineering Manager.
Job responsibilities
Main Duties:
To ensure the repair and appropriate maintenance of manufacturing machinery and ensure it is carried out within reasonable timescales which will minimise disruption to the efficiencies of the manufacturing targets
Fault finding and diagnostic experience regarding the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and assessing root cause failure mode
To carry out preventative maintenance of manufacturing machinery to ensure that Company production requirements are met
To ensure all duties are carried out within the scope of the Health and Safety at Work Act and also Company rules and procedures
Remain up to date with Electrical Regulation's qualifications BS EN 7671
To carry out any other relevant duties as required by the business.
Key skills
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential
Electrical apprenticeship and relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Good fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Flexibility due to shift work.
Desirable
Time served within a high volume environment.
Knowledge of injection moulding machines
Knowledge of PLC & 6 Axis robot system.
Working Hours
- 3 shift rotation 6am-2pm, 2-10pm, 10-6 nights.
