Position Title: Maintenance Technician I

Department: Maintenance

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary: Performs all general maintenance and repair functions within approved guidelines and as directed.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Casino complex as directed by immediate supervisor.
• Conducts preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.
• Supports other General Maintenance employees as needed.
• Ensures adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures.
• Operates company vehicles as required.
• Operate as an emergency Pull/Count Team member as required.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

Educational/Experience: High School diploma or GED and at least one year of mechanical work experience preferred.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Wyandotte Nation Gaming License.

• Ability to work as directed by your supervisor, which may result in being scheduled anytime during a 24 hour period, 365 days a year.
• Ability to interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure and technical manuals.
• Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management. and guests.
• Must have a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.
• Is friendly and positive with others. Maintains an even temper. Demonstrates good judgment, has positive interactions with co-workers and customers. Treats others with respect and dignity.
• Must be able to push and lift weight up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to work in areas containing high noise levels, secondary smoke, blinking lights.
• Must be able to work in outside conditions and hot or cold environments for periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
