Swift Nature Camp is seeking an energetic and responsible male camp counselor to join our team for the summer of 2023. As a camp counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with children in a beautiful natural setting, help facilitate a variety of fun and educational activities, and create lifelong memories with campers and fellow staff members. see www.SNC.Camp.
INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist with a variety of camp activities, such as hiking, swimming, canoeing, and archery. (We will teach you)
- Help plan and facilitate educational and recreational activities that align with the camp's mission and values.
- Act as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating respect, kindness, and responsibility.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all campers and staff members.
- Help to maintain cleanliness and organization in camper cabins and common areas.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children in a camp or similar setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of and commitment to the values and mission of Swift Nature Camp.
- Availability to work for the entire summer camp season.
