MISO is searching for the next leader of our Competitive Transmission Administration area. In this role, you will manage a team implementing MISO’s Competitive Transmission process, including project cost estimates, qualifying developers, and evaluating proposals from developers seeking to construct, own, and operate applicable facilities approved as part of the MISO Transmission Expansion Plan (MTEP).

Our Manager Competitive Transmission Administration will:

• Establish and monitor department/divisional goals that align with strategy objectives; ensuring individual employee goals are also aligned with departmental and corporate objectives and will support and serve on internal and external committees, task forces and working groups as needed to ensure continuous process improvements are being made and business objectives are being met – therefore, interpersonal skills are a must!
• Guide and direct development of requests for proposals, proposal evaluations, and selection determinations to ensure a high-quality and compliant Competitive Transmission process and oversee department’s development and implementation of project cost estimating used in MISO’s annual MTEP process – therefore, previous technical proposal experience is a must!

MISO’s Manager Competitive Transmission Administration will need to possess the following skills/experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in, Electrical Engineering, Economics, or related field, (or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency) with a minimum of three years’ experience in a closely related technical field.
• A Master’s Degree and energy specific experience would be a huge plus!

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
