POSITION TITLE: Manager-Material Control
Mack Trucks Inc

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: 13302 Pennsylvania Avenue Hagerstown MD 21742

POSITION DUTIES: This position works in close cooperation with various global Supply Chain and local Production functions to achieve delivery, cost and inventory targets at Powertrain. Outside the plant there is cooperation and communication with production logistics to set daily freight delivery priorities. Coordinates with regional global logistics teams with other powertrain plants around the world to manage global supply base. Core duties are as follows:

  • As key member of supply chain management team, actively contribute to set future vision and objectives for the area;
  • Onboard new suppliers in the area of electromobility;
  • Develop and improve roadmap for material control team and communicate key objectives using policy deployment methodologies;
  • Be an active participant of regional and global teams that work together to manage the global supply base;
  • Work with production logistics to ensure efficient, timely and cost effective delivery of parts;
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and be the first point of contact with suppliers not meeting delivery schedules;
  • Work with purchasing and supplier relationship managers to identify and mitigate poor performing suppliers;
  • Manage team and develop skills and competencies through training plans.

REQUIRMENTS: Qualified applicants must have 5 years of experience in Production Logistics or Supplier Management leadership. Experience must include leading and overseeing global suppliers who support industrial and production operations. Experience or ability to identify risks and perform risk mitigation and direct crisis management activities. Ability to manage cross functional teams, Ability to use value stream mapping, root cause analysis and data analysis to measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
