The Manager Rebates and Reporting is responsible for providing reporting, analytics, and consultation to both internal and external stakeholders regarding client rebate performance, reporting and third party billing while maintaining the exceptional level of professionalism, leadership and customer service standards as a representative of Elixir. This position has direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and direct the staff distribution of work, allocation of resources, work methods, training modules and performance standards
- Maintain oversight of the point of sale rebate delivery system
- Provide input to the rebate reconciliation process as well as subject matter expertise to the client analytics and reporting team
- Create periodic rebate reports including Medicare Part D direct and indirect remuneration (DIR) reporting
- Submit Medicare plan finder pricing files and monitor STAR ratings
- Support manufacturer rebate billing and reporting
- Manage preparation of monthly and quarterly manufacturer submission files, within the time frames outlined in the manufacturer contracts, for all Elixir’s lines of business
- Receive, acknowledge, investigate, and address any follow-up requests and inquiries from manufacturers subsequent to file submission
- Reconcile, analyze and report findings to stakeholders
- Create and Maintain client plan listings for the submitted lines of business
- Assist with manufacturer and CMS 1/3 financial audits as requested
- Develop and provide comprehensive analyses and strategy recommendations for manufacturer contract negotiations
- Provide analytical input to guide formulary management strategy
- Process, review and deliver formulary management client remittances and reporting according to the timelines established in the client contracts
- Develop and provide client analytics and recommendations regarding impact of formulary and benefit choices
- Collaborate with pricing team to develop proposal approaches
- Manage direct reports in accordance with company policies in an equal manner that ensures confidentiality
- Lead and mentor staff to improve skillset and career potential
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, statistical or financial discipline required
- Minimum 4 years’ PBM industry experience
- Minimum 2 years’ rebate report management experience
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills
- Financial and statistical reporting knowledge and experience
- Medicare Part D knowledge strongly preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner
- Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues
- An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute
- An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
- A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation, and detail oriented perspective
- A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
- Ability to work with peers in a team effort
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
- Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
- Willingness to travel if necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree
- Crystal reporting, Power Pivot, Macros, MS Access, and SQL programming knowledge and experience
- Pharmacy claim analysis experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
