JOB SUMMARY:

  • Develop, deploy, and administrate programs based on quality principles to maintain and improve the existing Software Quality Assurance process with regards to the accountabilities listed below.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain procedures for assuring highest standards of Software quality for products and services.
  • Assess the software life cycle processes and associated outputs to obtain assurance that the objectives are satisfied; deficiencies are detected, evaluated, tracked, and resolved; and that, the software product and software life cycle data conform to appropriate certification requirements
  • Determine and enforce compliance to current processes across all departments involved with production of Software and Services products
  • Relentlessly seek opportunities to organize and promote corporate-wide quality improvement efforts
  • Directly responsible for assessing, reviewing, and driving improvements to work partners’ new and existing Quality Indicators and KPIs
  • Responsible for evaluation and development of improved processes, in collaboration with our work partners, aimed at improving Quality and customer satisfaction. One of the triggers being the Quality Indicators and KPIs.
  • Represent the team in internal and external meetings, as required. For example, during internal Quality Review meetings or external Quarterly Business Review meetings with customers
  • Responsible for supporting the Quality Management System internal and external audit activities including all preparation efforts associated with them
  • Responsible for promoting and developing RCCA activities and framework as well as closing the loop on RCCA Software, Systems and Services identified gaps.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance to the DOA framework from Airbus through the established P&PA function

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical degree or and equivalent combination of technical education, training and experience.
  • 10 years of broad aerospace software engineering experience of which 3 years should be in software quality assurance including conducting internal quality audits as Lead auditor.
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in leading technical personnel and complex activities in the field of technical operations and quality management.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Thorough working knowledge of DO-178B/C, AS9100D and AS9115A
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

The salary range of $108,000 - $181,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
