With $5B of global revenue, this new business is a leading provider of compression products, electronics, software, and solutions across many applications within Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR), where macro and regulatory trends towards environmental sustainability, leads to changes in HVACR technology. Other products include other heating applications, food service and retail, transportation, and healthcare/life sciences. This new business also has a solution portfolio that manages, monitors, and controls refrigeration units in the commercial setting, as well as software solutions that measure and monitor temperature conditions of refrigerated goods in transit, where there is a greater emphasis on energy management/sustainability solutions globally.

Role Description

The Manager- Treasury Operations is responsible for cash and liquidity management which includes preparing and executing daily, monthly, and quarterly funding and cash flow requirements. In addition, the Manager- Treasury Operations is responsible for managing daily banking relationships and ensuring proper banking controls are in place across the various banking platforms. Working collaboratively with the treasury department, accounting, external reporting and other business units to support ongoing business objectives.

AS THE MANAGER- TREASURY OPERATIONS, YOU WILL:

  • Manage Treasury tasks/processes to assures the Company’s global cash, short-term investments, and debt portfolio are managed to provide appropriate liquidity consistent with cash flow projections. Ensures proper operation of wire transfer systems to ensure proper security and cash flow.
  • Ensures the appropriate global bank account structure is in place to support the Company’s business needs, including coordination of account opening/closing, account information lists, flow charts, signature cards, legal documents, and resolutions.
  • Assure that an appropriate level of banking products and services are utilized to support the financial transactions of the Company. Inherent in the use of these products and services is the need to effectively protect and deploy the Company’s liquid assets.
  • Act as a system administrator for global bank portals and treasury workstation maintenance/security administration. Approves key electronic payment obligations (both ACH and wire transfer) initiated in the Treasury workstation and bank website portals.
  • Lead service implementation projects for new bank services and third-party service/software providers as well as act as Treasury subject matter expert for company-wide projects requiring Treasury expertise.
  • Assist with ongoing development and compliance of treasury policies, procedures and operational controls related to global cash management.
  • Aggressively pursue ways to automate current processes and develop workflows to ensure efficient operations.
  • Cross-training on various Treasury tasks to enable backup support as necessary. Assist with training new department employees.
  • Manage implementation efforts associated with banking projects, including bank automation initiatives and service changes and Treasury related ERP projects.
  • Supervise the activities of the treasury analyst
  • Support the issuance and administration of Letters of Credit
  • Support the administration of Purchasing Card program.
  • Develop and maintain various relationships with banking partners and other third-party service providers.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis as needed, including cost/benefit evaluations of proposed Company bank related service enhancements. Presents analysis to various levels of management.

Required education, experience & skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA or CTP accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct domestic and/or international Treasury experience.
  • Experience using enterprise resource planning systems (Oracle) and treasury management systems
  • Strong system and data flow knowledge with the ability to learn and adapt to new flows and software technologies
  • Strong personal computer skills required, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Show initiative and drive for achieving results
  • Working knowledge of banking portals/applications/services used by large corporate customers
  • Ability to handle a variety of special projects and interact with other internal departments, including tax, legal, accounting, and subsidiary level counterparts
  • Ability to manage competing priorities among several stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills – including the ability to listen to needs of other and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner and present effectively in both oral and written presentation to all levels of the organization
  • Possess ability to work in cooperation with others to achieve desired results
  • Act resourcefully to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality parameters
