Your Opportunity
As leader for the SRE and Delivery Enablement team for Schwab's Core Technology Solutions (CTS) SRE organization, you will be responsible for developing a strategy and driving execution to modernize and evolve software delivery supporting the core back-end processing and client-facing revenue businesses in CTS. You will partner with multiple support teams, architects, developers, and other stakeholders to develop common tools and guidance and drive adoption of key reliability engineering practices in support of large-scale and mission-critical services.

Key Outcomes:
- Build and manage a cross-functional team supporting SRE and delivery enablement capabilities for all CTS verticals.
- Develop, gain alignment, and implement strategy for software delivery enablement.
- Collaborate across key stakeholders in Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations, and CTS to drive execution in a unified manner.
- Develop common, reusable patterns supporting an enterprise delivery platform.
- Drive improvements to and influence adoption of modern delivery practices to improve velocity, accuracy, efficiency, and safety
- Coach, mentor, and advise individuals and teams to increase knowledge and improve skills across the organization.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engagement as well as risk management to proactively identify and manage risk.
- Leverage data and user feedback to identify gaps and opportunities and to measure success as you improve overall experience and reduce toil in common software delivery activities.
What you have
Ideal Profile:
- 10+ years of technology and financial services leadership experience.
- Proven track record of leading successful strategy, design, execution, and adoption of modern software delivery solutions and transformation.
- Successful history of influencing and cultivating strong relationships to create alignment and support to drive technology strategy.
- Deep hands-on expertise in software engineering and CI/CD delivery practices, patterns, and tools.
- Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies across the CI/CD and DevOps landscape.
- Proficient in software development with one or more programming languages (Java, .Net).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and proven ability to influence across a variety of stakeholders and partners at all levels of an organization.
- Exhibits strong decision-making and judgement; able to weigh tactical benefits vs strategic needs, prioritizing effectively to meet the goals of the organization.
