Job Description Summary

The role of Solution Architect, WMS Systems is to serve as the conduit for Technology & Global Services (TGS) core solutions to the business partner and logistics teams. This individual will lead functional design and solution delivery for WMS solutions, collaborate with a team of solution architects and analysts who have deep knowledge of Global Logistics technology platforms and processes. In addition, this individual will support Global Logistics programs at BD as the WMS lead, accountable for integrated technology delivery plan and execution, identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement for technology delivery across TGS core areas of delivery. As part of the role, this individual will interface across TGS organization including but not limited to Business Partners, Platform & Engineering, Infrastructure and Technology Partner teams. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for WMS platform architecture, solution design supporting warehouse operations and projects.

• Provide functional design inputs and lead effort to develop business process design, functional specifications, and test planning efforts, work with different collaborators to identify and address design gaps

• Support key components of the Project Governance model such as Issue tracking, Risk Management and Project Communication

• Support the definition of business and data requirements and support the development of functional specifications

• Support development of test strategy and identification of test scenarios

• Provide continuous analysis to recognize and highlight incremental improvement opportunities

• Support deploying software deliveries from Manhattan associates.

• Works closely with SI partner, Manhattan AMO team, Integration team, ERP team and business team to estimate project timelines.

• Responsible for integrated technology delivery plan, which becomes a recommendation to the overall project plan

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• The ideal candidate will have a combination of strategic and growth mindset, technology & process improvement experience, solution engineering skills and effective communication skills.

• 8 + years of working with Manhattan WMS

• Strong business analysis skills

• Understanding of supply chain, logistics and distribution functional concepts

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated end-to-end business process thinking

• Ability to facilitate solution discovery, blueprint outcomes and lead multiple improvement efforts keeping a service and customer focused mentality

• Skilled at working with domain authorities in the fields of technology, data and analytics and business processes

• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and in overcoming ambiguity

• Leading by example, mentoring, and inspiring others all around you

• Deep analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent judgment and decision-making

• Able to align and work with diverse global collaborators

• Strong modesty, listening, creativity, and negotiation skills

• Accept ownership and drive resolution

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or a related field is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
