A minimum of three (3) years’ experience

Must have proficiency in:

· Hands-on intermediate to advance writing SQL scripts. Ability to write SQL queries to verify data within the application and visualize scenarios where more complex SQL queries (perhaps provided by developers) could assist the testing process.

· At least two years experience in manual testing on a Windows client-server application.

· Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate test instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities:

· Perform application testing of a primarily Windows client-server application which also includes Web components and back-end processes

· Test responsibilities will be present at every stage of development, starting from presence during prototyping to understand likely test needs followed by usability, functional, and regression testing and will include both UI testing and verifying data flow associated with user actions in the application and results of back-end processes

· Coordinate with the remainder of the test team, developers and help desk staff during the testing process

Desired skills:

· Three years of software testing experience

· Comfort working in a largely self-directed environment where most test cases will need to be defined during the functional testing process – at least at first

· Ability to learn the industry in which our product operates (Patent and Trademark prosecution) over time to be able to recognize when the program is generating anomalous results (existing knowledge of Intellectual Property law not expected, but a big plus)

· Ability to learn a complex product and develop expertise in its modules over time in order to build an intuition for its expected behavior during regression testing

· Experience using a ticketing system to track defects (Jira, our system, is a plus)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
