RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking candidates to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Alachua, FL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work our customer's staff to support the manufacture of mining equipment.

Job Description

• Collaboration with the design team to define the quality requirements for purchased content.
• Quality planning and implementation with suppliers.
• Establish routings, methods, processes, and layouts for assembly line
• Develop costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for new products.
• Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events with suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Technology with equivalent experience.
• Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
• Experience in a production environment working with cross functional teams
• Working understanding of the design process
• Experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and Lean Sigma Methodology.
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of related work experience

Desired Experience

• Prior continuous improvement experience with Kaizen events
• Familiarity navigating 3D modeling software (NX preferred)
• TeamCenter
